Welcome to the Faculty of Sciences and Engineering (FSE) at East West University (EWU), a dynamic hub of world-class teaching, cutting-edge research, innovation, and incubation. It is a profound privilege to serve as the Dean of this distinguished faculty, which plays a pivotal role in the promotion of knowledge, fostering creativity, and nurturing future leaders across diverse scientific and engineering disciplines.

Emerging technologies include a variety of technologies such as educational technology, information technology, nanotechnology, biotechnology, robotics, and artificial intelligence are thought to be the major striving forces for sustainable transformation of society in the 21st century. Thus, at present, the Faculty of Sciences and Engineering of East West University houses six departments with a blending of basic sciences (like mathematics, physics, chemistry, and biology), applied sciences, and engineering. The six vibrant and dynamic departments are: Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE), Civil Engineering (CE), Pharmacy, Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (GEB), and Mathematical and Physical Sciences (MPS). All these departments are the embodiments of academic excellence, creative research, and most important – the commitment of providing the students with the skills needed for the modern world. All these disciplines are united in the common effort of contributing to the development of our society and promoting progress.

We at the Faculty of Sciences and Engineering are committed to creating an educational atmosphere that promotes creativity, critical thinking, and intellectual curiosity. Our greatest asset is our students, and we work hard to make sure they are not only equipped to meet the challenges of the future but also have the confidence to lead their respective areas. Students who want to enroll in these departments' bachelor's and master's programs must pass a demanding admission exam. We constantly provide a state-of-the-art teaching and learning environment so that each student can reach their full potential and become a successful professional who can serve the nation. Our academic programs use state-of-the-art facilities, cutting-edge technologies, and a strong emphasis on real-world applications to combine theoretical underpinnings with experiential learning. To help the deserving students achieve their goals, we also offer a substantial merit-based scholarship and need-based financial aid. We consistently encourage exceptional students to benefit from the top-notch education that our programs offer.

We emphasize on hiring excellent faculty members actively engaged in quality teaching, high impact research, and services to the society. Many of our faculty members are internationally renowned for their research and teaching abilities. Our world-class faculty members are committed to fostering the next generation of engineers, scientists, and professionals. They contribute a multitude of knowledge and skills to the lab and classroom, fostering both creative inquiry and rigorous academic study. Our aim revolves around research, and we provide our students with opportunities to work on worthwhile projects that promote society and push the limits of knowledge.

We actively promote interdisciplinary, interinstitutional, international, and industry collaboration among students and faculty members in order to generate innovative solutions for difficult global problems pertaining to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
