Professor Dr. Ahmed Wasif Reza received "Plaque of Appreciation" from BAETE, IEB

The Board of Accreditation for Engineering and Technical Education (BAETE) of the Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB) arranged a prestigious "International Symposium on Quality Assurance in Engineering Education through Accreditation – III", at Radisson Blu Water Garden Hotel, Dhaka, 11-12 May 2023, with the theme "Education Imparts Competencies for Sustainable Development". The symposium focuses on discussing how our engineering education curriculum embraces the challenges of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), how to better address the issues and how to fill up the gaps. 

This symposium brought together more than 400 distinguished guests and participants, including well-known engineering educators from Australia, Taiwan, Turkey, Singapore, Malaysia, and Bangladesh. The discussions in the symposium investigated the past, present, and future scenarios toward the achievement of a smoother transition, which is necessary for making progress toward national and global goals. 

Dr. Ahmed Wasif Reza, Professor of the Department of Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) and Additional Director of Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), East West University, was a Member of the Organizing Committee for the International Symposium. Professor Wasif received the "Plaque of Appreciation" crest from Emeritus Professor Elizabeth Taylor (Honorary Fellow of Engineers Australia), Chair of the Washington Accord, International Engineering Alliance in recognition of his contributions as an "Organizing Committee Member" for the International Symposium and "Evaluation Team (ET) Member of BAETE”.
