Dr. Md Mostofa Kamal Rasel is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at East West University in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Before his current position, he was a postdoctoral researcher at Kyung Hee University in South Korea.
Dr. Md Mostofa Kamal Rasel completed his bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Information Technology from the Islamic University of Technology, Bangladesh. He started his professional career as a software developer. However, he moved after two years to South Korea to pursue a master's degree in Computer Science and Engineering at Kyung Hee University, South Korea. After receiving the master's degree, he enrolled and achieved his Ph.D. degree from the same university. Dr. Rasel has research interests in graph mining, data compression, data management, recommendation systems, and SQL script optimization. He published several research papers in peer-reviewed indexed journals with high-impact factors. His research works were also accepted in several conferences, some of which were awarded as the best papers. Dr. Rasel is one of the inventors of multiple techniques registered as US and Korean patents. Besides reviewing several scientific articles, Dr. Rasel has been a program committee member at IEEE BigComp2025 and IEEE BigComp2024 conferences.
