Dr. Nazia Hoque has received Fulbright Visiting Scholar Award 2024-25
Dr. Nazia Hoque, Associate Professor, Department of Pharmacy has been awarded the Fulbright Visiting Scholar Postdoctoral Fellowship 2024-25 administered by the United States Department of State’s Educational and Cultural Affairs Bureau. She will conduct her research in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, College of Pharmacy, Mercer University, Atlanta, Georgia from Fall 2024 for one academic year. Her research topic will be "Investigation of novel fungal-derived secondary metabolites as potential therapies for vascular dysfunction, atherosclerosis and high blood pressure'. In this study, she will explore the role of fungal derived molecules in the prevention of vascular inflammation. Dr. Hoque is the first faculty member of East West University to be awarded the Fulbright Visiting Scholar Postdoctoral Fellowship.
